Minister said nothing negative about Madaris: spokesman

ISLAMABAD: The spokesman for Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has said that the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has not said anything negative in connection with religious seminaries (Madaris).While clarifying the statement he said that Senator Pervaiz Rashid always highlighted the positive role of the religious seminaries and he thought that the madaris were playing conspicuous role in spreading religious education and promoting literacy in Pakistan. The spokesman said that Senator Pervaiz Rashid himself got education from a famous religious seminary of College Road, Rawalpindi, therefore, he respected religious madaris from the core of his heart.
