KARACHI: Pakistan’s Rashid Malik won the 55-plus singles and doubles titles of ITF Seniors Pro Circuit (Grade 4 tournament) at Thanyapura Sports & Leisure Club, Phuket, Thailand, held from April 20-25. Top seed Rashid won all four round robin matches in the singles category. He defeated second seed Sanjai Kumar

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Rashid Malik won the 55-plus singles and doubles titles of ITF Seniors Pro Circuit (Grade 4 tournament) at Thanyapura Sports & Leisure Club, Phuket, Thailand, held from April 20-25.
Top seed Rashid won all four round robin matches in the singles category. He defeated second seed Sanjai Kumar of India 6-1, 6-1; thrashed unseeded Sharad Tak of India 6-0, 6-0; smashed unseeded Zainuddin Yakin of Singapore 6-0, 6-0; and got walkover against Nussaume Marc of France. He also won the doubles title. The top seed pair of Rashid and Snajai Kumar defeated the second seed Indian duo of Nondove Poonacha Palanganda and Sharad Tak 6-2, 6-1. They got walkover against Singaporean duo of Zulkhairi Baharawi and Abubakar Mohammad.
