IslamabaD: The Beaconhouse Educational Complex (BEC) has won the Annual Math Mania Contest 2015, says a press release.
Haider Naqvi and Raja Hamza Muazzam of BEC clinched first position among six participating teams from secondary level branches of the Beaconhouse School System.
The contest comprised four rounds, preliminary written test, comprehensive written test, mental math and finally the buzzer round.
“These contests enlighten students in mathematics to make them logically and methodically sound in the subject,” said the BEC headmistress.
“The secondary level contest will help students a lot in concept development and preparation for their final examination to be held in May this year,” said Muhammad Ali, a teacher.
“It was quite an interesting and worth learning experience for us to participate and enhance our concepts in mathematics,” Raja Hamza Muazzam said. In the end, the winning team and participants were awarded with certificates.
