NOWSHERA: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain on Sunday claimed that his party would win the local government elections convincingly.
Speaking at youth convention here, he said that ANP-led government had completed development projects in every nook and corner of the province.The ANP leader said that his party leadership struggled to keep the alliance intact against the government. However, he said, in some districts all parties would field their own candidates.
He asked all candidates to avoid media trial and face their opponents in democratic ways.He said that people were not happy with the two years performance of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government and would reject their candidates in the elections for brining positive change.
Mian Iftikhar alleged that chief minister was using the influence of his office to attract voters to his party and asked the Election Commission to take notice of the situation.He said that his party was not satisfied with the briefing on the Pak-China Economic Corridor and asked the government and China to reconsider the decision of changing the route.The ANP leader warned of launching a protest movement if Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was bypassed in the changed route.
