Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that it was first priority provincial government to provide quality education to all without any difference.
Address the oath-taking ceremony of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rawalpindi Employees Welfare Association, he said for this purpose Punjab government has allocated Rs42billion and 3,200,000 children coming back to schools.
PML-N leadership including MPA Raja Muhammad Hanif, Senator Tahira Orangzeb, MPA Shaukat Bhatti Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Prof Dr Muhammad Zarif and other high ranking officers were present on the occasion.
Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that they have brought back 3,200,000 children to schools according to Compulsory Education Ordinance, Punjab. “We would take strict action against parents, if they violated this ordinance means all parents should send their children to schools,” he added. He also said that board should resolve all matters of students on priority basis. He said that they were spending Rs42billion on ‘Pharo Punjab Baro Punjab’.
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rawalpindi Chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Zarif during his address said that with grace of Allah we are providing roll number slips and result cards of students on door step. Students could easily resolve their educational issues, he claimed. He said that board is facing problem of less staff despite of it we are performing our duty well.
Finally, Provincial Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar congratulated all elected members including Employees Welfare Association (Rawalpindi Board) President Raja Sajjad Akbar, Senior Vice President Raja Usman Shahzad, Vice President Malik Altaf Hussain, General Secretary Raja Muhammad Yaseen, Deputy General Secretary Qazi Muhammad Rafiq and Joint Secretary Masood Ahmed Malik.
