KARACHI: US Consul General to Pakistan has said stable and prosperous Pakistan is a need for America and its increasing economic growth would cast a positive impact on Central Asia, a press release said on Saturday.
US Consul General Brian Heath, at a reception held by Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), said America is a big market for Pakistani products and exports to America have increased 4.4 percent this year.
He said security situation in Pakistan is in a much better state, citing it as a pleasant gesture for foreign investment.
The investment summit being held in Dubai would provide opportunities for Pakistan and American businessmen to sit together for increasing the trade volume, he said.
Patron-in-Chief KATI SM Muneer said the friendly relations between Pakistan and America are increasing and the balance of trade is in favour of Pakistan. “Pakistan is playing the front role for fighting the battle against terrorism for the last many years and the performance of Pakistan Army in Zarb-e-Azab is commendable in this regard,” he said.
