PMA demands action against quacks

TOBA TEK SINGH: Office-bearers of the Pakistan Medical Association have demanded the government postpone the registration of medical practitioners with the Punjab Healthcare Commission till the solution to the matters between the PMA and the government.
PMA district president Dr Zahid Sattar, secretary Dr Afzal and senior PMA members including Dr Maqsood Anjum and Dr Shahid Gill said in a press conference that the PHCC officials were allegedly harassing the doctors instead of taking action against quacks. They demanded the government arrange training of the doctors at district level in the province.
Dacoit held, stolen fertiliser bags recovered

TOBA TEK SINGH: Arrouti police on Friday arrested an alleged dacoit here.
According to the police, accused Amir of Chichawatni and his accomplices had looted 400 fertiliser bags from a trailer after snatching them from the vehicle driver near Pirmahal two months ago. The police arrested Amir and recovered stolen fertiliser bags from him. The police are raiding to arrest the other accused persons.
