Teenage robber shot dead

A teenage robber was killed in an encounter with the Chakiwara police on Monday.
According to the police, two armed men on a motorcycle tried to rob two people near a tea stall in Chakiwara.
However, a mobile van of the Chakiwara police arrived at the spot and the robbers opened fire.
The policemen retaliated and in the ensuing shootout managed to injure one of the teenage suspects while his accomplices slipped away.
The suspect, during initial interrogation, disclosed his name to be Nadeem, son of Taj Mohammad, and age to be 17 years old.
He was initially taken to the Civil Hospital but was referred on to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he passed away during treatment.
