Three die as trailer flips over rickshaw

BAHAWALPUR: Three people, including two women, died when a husk-loaded trailer flipped over an auto rickshaw near Lalloo Wali Morri on KLP National Highway on Tuesday. One of the dead woman was identified as the mother of Akram Mastoi of Basti Mastoi and the man as Qasim Ali of Shamas Bagh of Uch Sharif and the other woman was yet to be identified. Three people suffered injuries and were rushed to RHC Uch Sharif.

5 SUFFER ACID BURNS: Five people suffered critical burn injuries when unidentified attackers threw acid on them in Ghareeb Mohalla in Chishtian on Tuesday. The injured included two women, one youth and two men of a family. Fayyaz Abbasi, the head of his family told Chishtian A-Division police that his daughters Rimsha, 16, Shazia, 23, and son Haider, 15, his son-in-law and his nephew Allah Ditta were sleeping at his house when some unidentified assailants entered the house and threw acid on them. Earlier, the victims told police that Nadeem, Tariq and Laddoo had thrown acid on them but later they lodged their complaint against unknown culprits. The police have registered a case against unknown culprits. The injured were rushed to Burn Unit in Nishtar Hospital.
