Power outages in Swat protested

MINGORA: Hundreds of residents staged demonstration against unscheduled and prolonged power outages in Matta tehsil of Swat district on Tuesday. Irked by the unscheduled and prolonged loadshedding, the residents and shopkeepers of Koza and Bara Bamakhela and Budigram areas of Matta tehsil staged a protest against the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) in Tehsil Bazaar Chowk. Addressing the protesters, District Naib Nazim Abdul Jabbar, Tehsil Nazim Abdullah Khan and others said that prolonged and frequent power outrages had troubled and disturbed their routine life.
