LALAMUSA: The Assistant Commissioner Kharian Monday took action against eight shopkeepers, including two butchers, on charges of violating rate lists.
Reportedly, City police Lalamusa booked butchers Ejaz and Rizwan for selling meat violating official rate.
Dinga Police booked shopkeepers Fazal Karim, Azam, Akhtar, Shahid Mehmood, Liaquat and another shopkeeper for violating rate list. The AC fined three shop keepers Rs 5,000 each.
The AC also visited an under construction slaughter house.
WEAPONS FOR WORSHIP PLACES: DCO Liaquat Ali Chattha Monday directed the administrations of worship places to get weapon licence for the security measures and the licence will be issued on the name of worship place instead of a person.
Addressing a function held in connection with Parents Day, the DCO also announced up-gradation of Government Boys Middle School Kalra and promised provision of staff soon.
