Infant drowns as rickshaw falls into nullah

MULTAN: An infant drowned when a motorcycle rickshaw fell into Sikandari Nullah at Head Muhammadwala Road on Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, an eight-member family was going to meet their relatives on a motorcycle-rickshaw and all of a sudden it fell into the nullah.

All family members were rescued by the rescuers and an eight-month-old baby boy, Abdullah drowned.

Efforts are underway to recover the body of the infant. THREE suspects held: Multan police have arrested three suspects on Sunday in a search operation.

According to police sources, a team of Muzaffarabad police along with other law enforcement agencies’ officials checked identification of 65 people through bio-matric system during the operation in Al-Qureshi Colony No 1 and arrested three suspects and recovered 11 illegal weapons from their possession.
