Eidi distributed among patients

Rawalpindi: Punjab Caretaker Minister for Agriculture, Food, Planning and Development Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan here on Monday visited Holy Family Hospital (HFH) and distributed 'Eidi' among the patients.

The minister visited Emergency and Surgical Wards and inquired after health of the patients. On the occasion, Medical Superintendent HFH Dr. Shahzad Ahmed, Director Emergency Dr. Akhtar Mehmood and DMS Causality Dr. Naeem were present.

The minister was briefed about the medical and surgical treatment facilities and informed that all possible health care facilities were being extended to the patients. The minister met a number of patients and inquired about the standard of health care.

The patients expressed their satisfaction over the spirit of medical nursing and paramedical staff of the hospital and said that they were being given due attention and care. The minister appreciated efforts of the doctors, hospital management and medical staff for providing quality services with a spirit to service the ailing humanity without any discrimination.

He said a large number of patients form AJK also preferring Holy Family Hospital for medical treatment as they were satisfied with health facilities and services available in the hospital. The minister during his visit also distributed Eidi among the staff members of the Emergency Department who remained on duty and worked hard during Eid holidays to provide relief to the patients.

Talking to media Sardar Tanveer said that they had been entrusted responsibility of organizing free, fair and transparent general elections 2018 and the caretaker government was committed to come up to the expectations of the people of Pakistan.

He said in accordance with the directions of Election Commission of Pakistan, the provincial government headed by Dr. Hasan Askary, caretaker chief minister of Punjab would fulfil its obligations to extend maximum cooperation with regard to provide required facilities for elections.

He further said in addition to facilitation in election process, the performance of provincial government departments would also be improved by completing ongoing schemes and resolving their grievances so that they could be able to extend maximum relief to the citizens.
