The Floral Art Society Pakistan, Islamabad-Rawalpindi Chapter, held its monthly meeting with the programme including a competition titled, ‘Art Enfolds,’ comprising of two classes namely, ‘Precision in Foliage’ and ‘Simply Beautiful.’
Judging was based on two categories one for the seniors and the other for novices and it has to be said some really artistic floral art was the end result!
After working on their arrangements in the given time span — last minute touches being put in to complete them were inevitable and caused a flurry of activity — the judging took place and winners were declared. Winners for ‘Precision in Foliage’ were: Fist Tabassam Rizvi, second Nahida Raza, third Ghazala Abdullah and Wiqarunissa Boolani (tied) and runner-up Huma Ehsan. In the novice category were: First Nasreen Mazhar, second Tabassum Anjum and third Neelofer Rehman.
For ‘Simply Beautiful,’ the winners were: Fist Farhana Azim, second Sarwat Aslam, third Wiqarunissa Boolani and runner-up Nahida Raza. In the novice category for the same section were: First Nighat Masud, second Yasmin Salman and third Iffat Attaullah Jan.
The judges were Samia Sikander and Shireen Khan from Lahore and Aisha Zahid from Islamabad who appreciated the enthusiasm of the contestants and the floral art they had created. Addressing the members, FAS President Wiqarunnisa Boolani thanked the judges and presented them with tokens of appreciation.
