Broken promises

Our drowsy politicians are least bothered by the plight of the drought-hit people of Thar. They are making hollow promises with the people while their ‘all is well’ mantra in the face of death stalking the land of Thar knows no bound.
It is time to deliver on the promises made to the people over the course of time including hospitals equipped with necessary paramedic staff and medicine, proper shelters against inclement weather and above all provision of clean drinking water. In addition, the government should announce an employment package for the people of Thar.
