Lord’s Test

May 30, 2018

Pakistan’s victory against England in the Lord’s Test will go a long way in increasing the morale of a relatively younger Pakistani team. The experienced English batsmen could not resist against the fiery spells of our pacers, including Muhammad Abbas, Hassan Ali and Muhammad Amir who bowled with immaculate line and length to restrict the hosts to a paltry 184 and 242 respectively. If the green caps repeat the same performance in the next match, our cricket team will climb up to the fifth slot in the Test rankings.

This triumph is of great significance in another sense as the team was struggling against Ireland earlier this month because our victory over Ireland was a close call affair. The way the green shirts adapted to the English weather conditions and turned table over England also deserves our applause. It is now the responsibility of the entire administration to retain the winning combination and keep the winning streak intact in the future as well.
