LAHORE: Pakistan will not call for any replacement for injured Babar Azam, who fractures his wrist during the second day’s play against England at the Lord’s.
An official of the PCB informed ‘The News’ that the team management and the selection committee have after consultation and with the advice of the PCB Chairman decided to not to call any player in place of Babar. “Team Management in consultation with the Chief Selector and after obtaining consent from Chairman PCB have decided not to call a replacement player for Babar Azam for Test tour against England,” he added. Pakistan suffered a setback after dominating the second day’s play in the first Test against England at Lord’s on Friday when in-form batsman Babar was ruled out of the rest of the two-match series with a wrist injury.
