Man strangles teenage daughter to death over petty issue
A man strangled his 17-year-old daughter to death over a petty issue at their residence in the Surjani Town locality on Saturday.
SHO Shakeel Sherwani said the incident took place in Surjani Town’s Rozi Goth area, where a man named Nisar Ahmed strangled his daughter Iqra to death over a petty issue.
The officer said a police party immediately arrived on the crime scene and took the girl’s body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The SHO said the victim’s brother, namely Abdullah, told the police in his statement that his father had asked Iqra to hand him something, but she misbehaved in response.
The father then got angry and brutally beat her up before strangling her to death, said Sherwani, adding that Ahmed has escaped after murdering his daughter.
