MANSEHRA: An official of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) was killed and his son sustained injuries when a group of armed men attacked their residence in Oghi tehsil early Monday.
The incident happened in Kotla area in Oghi, where armed men attacked the residence of Abdul Rasheed, head clerk in FC in Oghi, and shot him dead and injured his son Manan. The gunmen fled the scene after committing the crime. The police handed over the body to the family after autopsy at theCivil Hospital in Oghi.
The injured was referred to the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad after receiving emergency treatment at a local hospital. The Oghi police registered the first information report and started investigation to ascertain the motive behind the attack.
Meanwhile, four students and their teacher were injured when the wire of a chairlift snapped in Kotgalla area in Battagram district. The injured students were identified as Mohammad Khalil, 13, Attaur Rehman, 11, Islamullah, 12, Mohammad Anis, 12, and their teacher Ali Khan.
They were going home after attending school when the wire of transporting machine broke and it stuck the main pillar. The injured were taken to Civil Hospital in Battagram and were discharged after treatment.
