Sindh Inspector General of Police Ghulam Hyder Jamali has directed the police force for launching an immediate crackdown against the drugs and gambling dens. He was chairing a meeting to review the law and order at the Central Police Office on Monday.
The director press Sindh police said that the zonal deputy inspector generals of police (DIGs) were directed to immediately launch a crackdown against narcotics and gambling dens to eliminate social evils from the society,. He said the IGP has also ordered for a progress report in this regard within seven days.
Jamali warned the officers that “after going through the progress report, strict action would be initiated against incompetent sub divisional police officers (SDPOs) and station house officers (SHOs) and their services could be terminated.“
During the meeting, performance of the provincial police in accordance with the national action plan (NAP) and the officers were directed to accelerate their efforts further.
