The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday dismissed a petition seeking rescheduling of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual exams, the timetable for which had been revised for the NA-246 by-polls.
Petitioner Usman Moazam submitted the election commission had announced to hold by-polls in NA-246 on April 23 while the education department on request of the ECP had rescheduled the examination dates, for April 7 instead of April 14 whereas the papers would end on April 21 instead of April 25.
He submitted the rescheduling would affect thousands of students as they were not left with enough time to prepare and revise for their courses. The court dismissed the petition as not maintainable.
