LAHORE: A man was shot dead by two youngsters in the Nishtar Colony area on Thursday. The victim was identified as Irfan. According to police, Naveed, a resident of Aamar Block, Nishtar Colony, forbade his son Hamza, a class 9 student, from having the company of bad boys but he did not heed the advice. On the day of the incident, Hamza called his father and requested him to come to the place of his friends. Naveed along with his friend Irfan reached there. Meanwhile, Hamza’s friends Kafeel and Rabi allegedly opened firing at Naveed, as a result of which, both Naveed and Irfan sustained wounds. They were removed to hospital where Irfan succumbed to his wounds. Police have removed the body to morgue.
Man gunned down: A 27-year-old man was killed by some armed bike riders in the Sundar area on Thursday. The victim was identified as Saleem of Loharan Wala Kho. He was passing through the Sundar area on a bike when some armed bike riders fired shots at him and wounded him. The attackers escaped from the scene. The victim was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Two bodies found: Two men, unidentified so far, were found dead in different parts of the provincial metropolis on Thursday. Lorri Adda police found the body of a 50-year-old man and Data Darbar police the body of a 55-year-old man. Both men were addicts, police said, adding they might have died of overdoses of drugs.
