Sahir CC crush Punjab Lions in MA Shah Trophy

KARACHI: Lahore’s Sahir Cricket Club crushed Punjab Lions by 72 runs in their game of Dr MA Shah Trophy here at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on Wednesday night.

After being invited to bat first, Sahir Cricket Club posted 185-9 in the allotted 20 overs. Zohaib Amanat was the hero for Sahir CC as he hit 41-ball 69 with five sixes and five fours. Awais Dogar struck 22-ball 38 with two sixes and three fours. Kashif Bhatti made 17, striking two sixes.

Right-arm off-spinner Sultan Ali (2-24) and Zia Afridi (2-42) were the leading wicket-takers.In response, Punjab Lions were bundled out for 113 in 18.3 overs. Off-spinner Imran Ali got 3-15, while Nadeem Khan captured 2-8.

Sultan Ali hit 24-ball 23 with two sixes. Hafiz Amin managed 15 with two fours. Mohammad Rehan and Kamran Zaheer supervised the match.Ellen Chiwenga to be Football Club Karachi’s brand ambassador
