Life in the dark
May 25, 2018
Last week, parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) experienced a massive power breakdown due to a fault in the transmission line that tripped three power plants connected to the national grid. We can only imagine the pain and agony the citizens might have gone through due to the power breakdown.
Such faults, however, are common in Karachi. It is important that the government, on a national level, takes steps to enhance our technical capacity so that such faults are absorbed in the system and shouldn’t have such a widespread effect.
