ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has given a clean chit to Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi on the complaint of the corruption charges.
Former Test bowler Sarfraz Nawaz leveled charges against PCB Chairman Najam Sethi but after complaint verification process the NAB Lahore did not find any substance in the complaint and dismissed the complaint with comment “Not fit for Action.”
According to sources, the NAB has summoned repeatedly Sarfraz Nawaz to provide proofs for his allegations against Najam Sethi but he did not appear before the NAB to come to join the inquiry proceedings and failed to provide certain documents in this regard.
Following the failure of Sarfraz Nawaz appearance before the NAB as well as failure to provide the certain documents to establish his allegations, the NAB has closed the inquiry against PCB Chairman Najam Sethi.
Sources said the case was closed being on grounds of personal accounts as all allegations forwarded to NAB were already in the court between Sarfraz Nawaz and Najam Sethi.
