MMA will step up mass contact campaign after Eid
LAHORE: MMA will step up the mass contact drive after Eid and hold more public meetings all over the country to be addressed by central and local leaderships.
MMA President Maulana Fazlur Rehman is likely to present the election manifesto of the religious alliance on June 4. This was announced Wednesday by MMA Punjab leadership while briefing media after a meeting at Jamiat Ahle Hadith offices on Ravi Road.
The meeting was chaired by MMA Secretary General Liaqat Baloch and attended by Hafiz Abdul Karim, Rana Shafiq Pasruri, Maulana Amjad Khan, Allama Arif Wahidi, Maulana Muhammad Khan Leghari and others. Briefing media, Liaqat Baloch said the dates of the public meetings would be finalised in consultation with the local MMA leaders during the next few days.
He said the MMA has sounded alarm bells for those hatching conspiracies to enforce secular agenda in the country. He said the religious alliance was determined to fight against the secularist elements and defeat them in the forthcoming elections.
