PESHAWAR: The police foiled a bid to smuggle non-custom paid cell phone sets and arrested one person on Wednesday.
The superintendent of police Saddar Shaukat Khan told reporters on Wednesday that police during an action in Sarband stopped a car coming from tribal areas and recovered 883 imported cellular phones. The custom duty on these phones was not paid. The police arrested the alleged smuggler Shaukat and lodged a case against him.
