Photographic masterpieces on display
LAHORE: Israr Chishti, a teacher par excellence, a wanderer, always in search of himself through the finest things in life, like music, poetry, singing and photography, has shared his real passion for the immaculate creations of the greatest artist of them all, in his photographic collection inaugurated at an exhibition of photographs at Ejaz Art Galleries on Monday.
Israr Chishti is an Assistant Professor at Punjab University’s, College of Art and Design. He is fond of capturing beauty and unique moments of life since his early age as a student. Back in 1994, he was called by another renowned artist, teacher and the head of the College of Art and Design by Shah Nawaz Zaidi to come and teach at the college. Chishti always had a great passion for photography and music, and when he joined Photography Department of College of Art and Design, it was in a shambles. He instantly started to reshape the department to its real form and turned it into a full-fledged, state-of-the-art photography department. The 43 photographic masterpieces being displayed at Ejaz Art Galleries speak volumes about Chishti’s love for his passion and his rich artistic horizon which displays his unmatched skills. The exhibition will continue until tomorrow (Wednesday).
