Students honoured
Rawalpindi : The Sports Department of Government Postgraduate College for Women Satellite Town, Rawalpindi organised an event for the celebration of students’ participation in Malaysian basketball contest on the behalf of All Pakistan Inter Board.
Before Malaysian contest, a sports camp was conducted in Peshawar in which five students of Government Postgraduate College, Sundas, Madiha, Ruqaya, Shanza and Hamada, participated. After Peshawar camping, two students Shanza and Hamada were selected for Malaysian basketball contest. During this 6 days tour, both students competed numerous other university students and became winner.
Institute director Dr. Aliya Sohail graced event with her presence as chief guest. She appreciated the winners and participants as well. She said, it’s not only the achievement of our college, she stated that it’s the achievement of nation, and a yelling failure to gender discrimination. Vice Principal of college, Chaman Yasmin also honoured event with her presence. Both directors appreciated sports department head Ms. Safora for her efforts to encourage students for this splendid achievement.
At the end of this great event, director campus, Dr. Aliya Sohail presented honouring awards to the winners and participants.
