PM approves cash incentives for Davis Cup team

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has approved cash incentives for all Davis Cup players and officials who helped the country win the tie against Korea.
Two main players Aqeel Khan and Aisamul Haq are to receive Rs 2 million each while two players Abid Ali Akbar, Muzammil Murtaza and two officials Hameedul Haq and Mushaf Zia will be awarded Rs half a million each. “Yes, we have received approval from Prime Minister to award these players and officials cash incentives worth Rs 6 million. Soon cheques for the purpose will be issued,” a Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) official when contacted said.
Apart from this amount, the PM has approved another Rs 5 million as a special grant for the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF).
