‘Energy sector holds potential’
LAHORE: Oil Gas and Regularity Authority (Ogra) Chairperson Uzma Adil said there is a lot of investment potential in the rich oil and gas sector of Pakistan, and the abundant natural resources can be utilised to the advantage of both the investors and the country,
Adil, while addressing the 14th International Energy Conference at the expo centre, said Ogra is to facilitate all the licencees and safeguard their interests.
Officials from Schneider Electric UAE, King Abdul Aziz University Saudi Arabia, Private Power and Infrastructure Board, Punjab Energy Efficiency and Conservation Agency, Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technologies, Alternative Energy Development Board, Sindh Lakhra Coal Mining Company, and Punjab Power Management Unit attended the event.
Exhibitors have negotiated deals worth millions of dollars during the three-day exhibition, while they received scores of inquiries from prospective clients.
