This refers to the editorial, ‘Tahira Mazhar Ali’ (March 25). I read the editorial with great sense of loss and deep sadness.
A great human being and social activist, the daughter of notable Punjabi unionist leader Sir Sikandar Hayat, wife of the leftist pioneer journalist, Mazhar Ali Khan, and the mother of author Tariq Ali – who can match such diverse claims to fame? By her death, Pakistan has lost a true idealist.

This refers to the editorial, ‘Tahira Mazhar Ali’ (March 25). I was very sad to hear about the passing away of Begum Tahira Mazhar Ali, the veteran human rights activist. It was good that The News gave a fine editorial in her memory.
Those of us who were lucky enough to know Tahira Bibi will never forget her. May she find eternal repose.
