Health dept reinforces dengue regulations
LAHORE: Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education Department reinforced the Punjab Prevention and Control of Dengue Regulations 2018. These regulations shall remain enforced till November 30.
According to the notification issued by the department, the residents will be responsible to ensure the prevention and eradication of dengue in their houses. They will remove all dengue hot spots from their premises and cooperate with the dengue teams coming for dengue surveillance activities.
The hospitals and clinics will be responsible to provide data of dengue patients to the health department or visiting health inspectors. All the departments and the institutions would take necessary precautionary measures to check the dengue breeding according to the SOPs under Dengue Regulations 2018 as per previous practice.
All the hospitals would ensure adequate treatment facilities to the dengue patients including the setting up dengue wards and high dependency units. Dengue regulations shall come into force with immediate effect.
