Three held for killing mother, three daughters
HARIPUR: The police have arrested three persons, including family head of the deceased, in connection with murder case of a woman and her three minor daughters who were allegedly poisoned and strangled to death over unknown reasons in Qutba Dhak village a few days ago.
DPO Khalid Mehmood Hamdani at a press conference on Monday presented all the three before the media. Speaking on the occasion, the DPO said as per initial investigations, Shafaqat, alias Kinnow, a resident of Qutba village who was husband of the deceased woman and father of three minor children poisoned his family to death over a property dispute on May 6. He said that Yasir Rehman, who was working as a clerk at the DHQ Hospital in Haripur, and Saddam Akhtar, residents of the same village, had helped him with the crime. Sadaf Shafaqat 35, wife of Shafaqat Zaman, had been living with her three daughters Iman Shehzadi 9, Zainab Bibi 5, and Zarqa Shehzadi 7 in a home with no male member for the last two years.
