MARDAN: Former chief minister and Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Ameer Haider Hoti on Sunday announced the start of his election campaign for National Assembly constituency NA-21 and provincial assembly constituency PK-53.
He was speaking at a meeting wherein he announced the formation of committees of ANP workers to run election campaigning for him.
Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ahmed Khan Bahadur, District Nazim and ANP district president Himayatullah Mayar, who was nominated for provincial assembly constituency PK 51, candidate for PK-52 Ali Khan, party office-bearers in different union council attended the meeting. At the meeting, a committee comprising Shahida Bibi, Shazia Aurangzeb and Huma Bibi was organised to run the campaign.
A committee comprising MPA Ahmed Khan Bahadur, District Council member Humayun Khan, Shah Nawaz, Imran Manduri and Saeed Alam was also constituted for the election campaign. Speaking on the occasion, Haider Hoti advised party workers to start election campaign and run it even in Ramazan due to the shortage of time. He directed ANP workers to go door-to-door and convey the party's message. Haider Hoti told the meeting that party office-bearers and workers should start campaigning for the upcoming general election.
