LAHORE
After successful dialogue between negotiating team of the Punjab government headed by Central leader of PML-N MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif and representatives of farmers, the cultivators have announced to end their protest.
Representatives of government team, including former Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Imdadullah Bosal, Provincial Minister for Irrigation Yawar Zaman and others led by MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif held talks with farmers’ representatives at Central Secretariat of PML-N Model Town. The farmers’ representatives were assured that cases registered against some
farmers during protest would immediately be withdrawn. On the demand of increasing support price of wheat during wheat procurement campaign, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif assured farmers’ representatives that the Punjab government would take an acceptable decision to farmers.
