Ladla habitual of receiving instructions from ‘above’, says Nawaz
ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the Ladla (Imran Khan) has developed a habit of following instructions being issued from ‘above’.
Talking to reporters inside at accountability court, Nawaz Sharif rejected a clarification by the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq, and said everyone knows the meaning of ‘above’.
“These people were making claims to bring about a change in this country. It is their change that they are receiving instructions from ‘above’ stamping at the election symbol of ‘arrow’ in the Senate election,” he said
Nawaz said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak plainly said that the directions were issued from ‘above’, and this never meant Banigala. Nawaz said Imran has defamed politics in Pakistan. “Yesterday, the people of Lahore for the third time rejected him and he after completing his hat-trick of running away, came to Islamabad, saying that he would dislodge another big wicket. In 2013, people rejected Imran and there will be a repeat of the same results in the 2018 general elections,” he added.
He said the PTI should also tell the public who is helping them in dislodging the wickets. “Previously, the youth supported Imran, but now they are also disappointed with his performance,” he said.
Nawaz once again avoided questions about disgruntled party leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. While coming out of the court, he said it is enough what he talked inside. “I am just happy looking at you people,” he said.
Captain (retd) Safdar, while talking to the media, said that Imran Khan went to Lahore at the shrine of Data Sahib, but returned after cutting his visit short. To a question about Imran’s marriage that is yet again in a difficult situation as per media reports, Safdar said that old age marriages always suffer.
Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) and K-Electric were responsible for the loadshedding in Karachi. Nevertheless, he said, the prime minister going out of the way has tried to solve the electricity problem for the Karachiites. About Imran, Abid Sher Ali said that he went to Lahore to take some wickets and came back after getting run out. He said selective accountability is being done in the country.
