PESHAWAR: Employees of the Pak German Wood Working Centre staged a demonstration outside the Peshawar Press Club on Monday for the regularisation of wood cedar workers under Small Industries Development Board (SIDB) Service Rules.
Led by the Pak German Wood Working Centre president Murtaza Khan, general secretary Mohammad Shahid and SIDB president Sahibzada Naseem, the protestors chanted slogans in favour of their demands. The speakers said over 100 employees had been performing duties for the last 18 years on fixed pay basis but they were not being regularised. They said that certain had been regularised for their connections , asking the government to provide them justice.
