ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal Monday ordered NAB director general for inquiry against Balochistan ex-provincial minister Sadiq Umrani for purchasing controversial 5 acre land of Clerk Association of Balochistan on a throwaway price.
Through another order on Monday, the NAB chairman ordered inquiry against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa NAB Deputy Director Yawar Hussain Bangash for alleged corruption.
While chairing the meeting here Monday at the NAB headquarters, he said eradication of corruption from the country is now become a voice of the nation and the NAB will come up to expectations of the people for the eradication of corruption.
He said that NAB has decided to fix time limit for each step of enforcement i.e. 2 months for Complaint Verification, 4 months for Inquiry & 4 months for Investigation. “A total of 10 months have been laid down from complaint verification to inquiry-inquiry to investigation-investigation to filling of reference in the respective Accountability Court to its logical conclusion as per law,” he said.
