Sarwar denies buying votes
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said his victory in Senate came as a great setback for the PML-N. In a statement issued on Monday, Sarwar said, if the PML-N had doubt on its members, it should hold accountability of their members instead of raising doubts on me.
He said the PML-N had become staggered due to its potential defeat in 2018 elections. Sarwar said that in Senate elections, PTI, opposition parties and independent candidates voted for him and statement of Punjab Law Minister was on record that horse-trading hadn't occurred in Punjab at least. So, he said the allegations that the PTI candidate in Punjab bought votes were totally false.
PA session: Governor Punjab has summoned Punjab Assembly session on 26 April. A gazette notification has been issued in this regard. The session will be presided over by Speaker PA Rana Mohammed Iqbal Khan.
