ZTBL stumble in modest chase

KARACHI: Ghani Glass set 132 runs target for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) on the third day of their four-day Patron’s Trophy Grade-II final at the Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi, on Monday.

Having conceded a huge 238-run first innings deficit, Ghani Glass resumed their second innings at 182-1 and posted 369 in 130.4 overs.Opener Zeeshan Ashraf, who was batting on 105 on Sunday, fell after making 119. Zeeshan smashed 16 fours in his 217-ball knock.

Mohammad Waheed chipped in with precious 63, hitting eight fours.Fast bowler Mohammad Ali got 3-68, while pacers Hamza Nadeem, Bilawal Iqbal and left-arm spinner Mohsin Nadeem got two wickets each.ZTBL were reeling at 61-4 in 16 overs in their second innings at stumps.They need 71 runs to win the trophy and qualify for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Grade-I.Fast bowler Mohammad Umar got 3-27.
