MPA asks Imran to tender apology
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Yasin Khan Khalil on Sunday that those lawmakers who were accused of selling their votes in the Senate election would file a writ petition in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) to seek justice.
Speaking at a press conference, he demanded that PTI Chairman Imran Khan should tender an apology and take back his allegations.
He maintained that he and other MPAs namely Qurban Ali Khan, Obaidullah Mayar and Zahid Durrani would move the PHC, asking the PTI Chairman Imran Khan to tender apology and take back the allegations of horse-trading.
Yasin Khalil said that Imran Khan scapegoated the party lawmakers in his bid to reach the Prime Minister’s House. “This tactic of Imran Khan is reminiscent of the sacrificial offerings that the past emperors made to please the gods,” he maintained.
He said that Imran Khan should have investigated the issue if he thought the party lawmakers had committed horse-trading.
Yasin Khalil said that he had been in politics since his college days and the PTI chairman had dealt a deadly blow to his political career.
