Zeeshan’s century gives Ghani Glass comeback hopes
KARACHI: Zeeshan Ashraf’s fighting unbeaten 105 gave hopes of a comeback to Ghani Glass on the second day of their four-day final of the Patron’s Trophy Grade-II against Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) at Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi, on Sunday.
After being forced to follow-on, Ghani Glass had reached 182-1 in their second innings by the close of the play with Zeeshan having smashed 14 fours. He was amply supported by Yousuf Babar, who was at the crease on 59 which had six fours. Ghani Glass need 56 more runs to avoid an innings defeat.
Earlier, in response to ZTBL’s first innings total of 293, Ghani Glass were folded for only 55 in 34.2 overs in their first innings. Opener Zeeshan (15) and Shahbaz Javed (12) were the only ones to manage double figures. Hamza Nadeem and Bilawal Iqbal got three wickets each.Mohammad Ali and Waqas Saleem captured two wickets each.
