Trapped in child labour
April 21, 2018
Children who were born in a family who lives below the poverty line are trapped in the trap of child labour. Many such children do not receive proper nutrition or care. They are denied the chance to be children. More than half of them are exposed to the worst forms of child labour. The government has been taking various measures to tackle this problem.
But, considering the magnitude and extent of the problem and that it is essentially a socio-economic problem inextricably linked to poverty and illiteracy concerted efforts are required from all sections of society to do away with this problem. Since poverty is the root cause of this problem, the government should take steps to reduce the level of poverty in the country.
