The investigation wing of City division police claimed to have arrested accused of murder, blind murder and extortion. Sp City Syed Karar told reporters during a press conference that Bhatti Gate police arrested a killer involved in the murder of a woman and her 4 years old child in 2012. Police arrested accused Shabir Ahmad from Karachi.
Ravi Road police arrested accused persons involved in a kidnapping-cum-murder case of one Asghar Javed. Shafiqabad police arrested two kidnappers who had demanded Rs 65,000 extortion from one Muhammad Azam.
