PTI leaders from KP join PPP

ISLAMABAD: Renowned political leaders of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa called on the PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari here at Zardari House on Monday and announced joining the PPP.

The leaders who joined the party included former federal finance minister Nawabzada Mohsin Ali Khan, president PTI Hayatabad (Peshawar) chapter Dr Ilyas Khattak and Mutiullah Khattak, who is nephew of the ANP leader Afrasiyab Khattak.

Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, PPP KP President Humayun Khan, former federal minister Lal Khan and other leaders were present on the occasion. New entrants in the party said that the PPP leadership always fulfilled the promises they made with the people. They said former president Asif Zardari gave identity to the people of KP. They said the PPP is the party of great leaders like Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. They reposed full confidence on the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He former president welcomed the new entrants in the party.

Meanwhile, eminent political figure of Attock and Sardar of Gakhar clan Sardar Irfan Jaffar Khan Gakhar along with Shiraz Hussain Shirazi called on Zardari and announced to join the PPP.

Former federal minister and President of the PPP Rawalpindi division Sardar Salim Haider Khan, Malik Muhammad Aijaz, Sardar Aslam Khan, Malik Muhammad Sajid, Malik Sajidur Rehman, Fauzia Habib and Amir Fida Paracha were also present on the occasion. The former president welcomed Gakhar clan and their Sardar Irfan Jaffar Khan in the party. Sardar Irfan Jaffar said the PPP is the only party which always serves the downtrodden. He reposed full confidence in the leadership of Asif Zardari and Bilawal.
