SIALKOT: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Friday issued arrest warrants for 200 influential tax evaders of Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.
According to FBR officials, the Board had repeatedly issued warnings and notices to the tax evaders, but received no response. He said the tax recovery campaign would continue till June 30, 2018. The Federal Board of Revenue would soon get banks accounts of these people. He warned that the properties of tax defaulters might be auctioned after adopting all legal procedures.
Exhibition of antique coins, currency notes held: An exhibition of international currency notes and antique coins was held here on Friday at the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturing and Exporters Association (PGMEA) Office. More than 5,000 coins from 230 countries were displayed.
Similarly, new and old currency notes of more than 215 countries were placed in the exhibition. Currency Collector Abdul Waheed informed the visitors about currency notes and antique coins. Chief Manager State Bank of Pakistan Ishtiaq Ahmed, who was the chief gust, said such exhibition increased knowledge of people about countries and regions as well. A large number of students, notables and others visited the exhibition.
