According to reports, the ICC is considering reducing World Cup playing teams from 14 to 10 which seems unfair after the performance shown by associate teams, especially Ireland and Afghanistan.
The ICC is thinking only in terms of financial benefits and ignoring the long-term good and development of the game. It will be a big blow to cricket if the associate countries are not included in the World Cup qualifying teams.
