PIDA to amend agreement

LAHORE: Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority (PIDA) has decided to amend the irrigation management transfer agreement to improve the efficiency and transparency in irrigation service delivery.
This decision has been made in the light of field experiences gained from time so that the farmer organisations could perform their functions effectively. PIDA General Manager (Admin) Muhammad Aslam Tabassum chaired a meeting in this regard which was attended by Social Mobilisation Deputy General Manager Shaiq Hussain Abidi, Operation Manager Rizwan Aslam, Reforms Assistant Manager Imran Aslam and Legal Assistant Manager Muhamamd Arshad Kamboh. PIDA legal adviser Ghazanfar Haider Pasha briefed the participants on the proposed amendments.
