Glowing tributes paid to ZA Bhutto on death anniversary

PESHAWAR: The 39th death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was observed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas with the renewed pledge to complete the mission of the founding chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

In the provincial capital, the speakers and the activists of PPP at a seminar vowed to render any sacrifice to accomplish the mission of their great leader.

The People’s Doctor Forum (PDF) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had organised the seminar at the Peshawar Press Club.

Terming ZA Bhutto an international leader, the speakers highlighted various aspects of his life and reiterated the commitment to take forward the struggle he had launched.

They said ZA Bhutto sacrificed of his life but did not compromise on principles and the rights of people.

Dr Nisar Khan, president PDF, Ghani Gul Mahsud, Arshad Khan Afridi from People’s Students Federation, former president women wing district Bannu, Yasmin, Mehrun Nisa, Dr Daud Khattak, Jamal Khattak and others addressed the participants, who had come from far-flung areas.

The PPP leaders recalled that ZA Bhutto initiated the nuclear programme for the country, which guaranteed national security. They said Bhutto was a progressive and democratic leader and was known across the globe for his vision for the prosperity of the down-trodden class.

The speakers added that PPP was a party of the masses, and Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had always raised voice for the stability of democratic process.

They said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the tallest icon on the political landscape of democratic Pakistan who bravely challenged dictators and their mentors.

The speakers added that he was a great source of inspiration and encouragement for the oppressed, marginalized and deprived people of the country.

They said ZAB gave a unanimous constitution to the country and made Pakistan a nuclear power. They said that people of Pakistan would never forget such a great leader.

The speakers lamented that even when PPP was in power, the conspirators hatched conspiracies against it and party leaders faced difficulties, but never bowed before any dictator and their authoritarian rule.

Dr Nisar Khan said the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was a man of principles and was known as great leader across the world. He said ZA Bhutto never compromised on the rights of poor people, labourers and oppressed segments of the society.

Other speakers including Dr Daud, Arshad Afridi, Yasmin, Mehrun Nisa and Jamal Khattak vowed to carry forward Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s mission of public welfare and strengthen the democracy. Earlier, the participant offered Fateha Khwani.

CHITRAL: The leaders and activists of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) lauded the services of Zufikar Ali Bhutto for the country.

The PPP local leaders including Muhammad Hakeem, Sharif Hussain, Shamsur Rehman Lal, Alamzeb, Mir Dola Jan, Maulana Muhammad Asif and others were present on the occasion.

They said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was a highly popular leader. He raised voice for the rights of the poor, labourers and deprived segments of the society, they added.

BANNU: The PPP women wing leaders vowed to complete the mission of party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Speaking at a function to mark the 39 death anniversary of the party founding chairman, PPP Women Wing leaders including Begum Noor Jehan, Najma Balqees Bibi, Mrs Nawaz, Ajran Gul, Zarina Bibi and others said that ZA Bhutto was the leader of the poor and labourers and had always fought for their rights on every forum.

Nowshehra: The PPP founding chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s 39th death anniversary was observed on Wednesday.

PPP leaders including Daud Khan Khattak, former provincial minister Liaqat Shabab, Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel, Malik Ghulam Hazrat, Iftikhar Ali Shah and others attended a gathering in Risalpur.

Speaking on the occasion, they said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was not only a leader of Pakistan but was also popular across the globe. He embraced martyrdom for the sake of nation and country.
